The luxury goods sector is considered a business area with a potentially strong future.

Tom Ford is an exclusive designer label, created in 2005, by the former Creative Director and the CEO of Gucci, namely Tom Ford and Domenico De Sole respectively. The Américo Amorim Group joined the project at the end of 2007.

After the launching of Tom Ford's fragances and eyewear collection in 2006, the Tom Ford label immediately achieved commercial success and industry recognition. The launching of Tom Ford's menswear collection in 2007 coincided with the opening of its first store in New York.

Tom Ford extended its range of products with the launching of the women's collection during the spring of 2011. Besides the traditional US and Europe markets, Tom Ford's expansion plan contemplates strengthening its presence in the emerging markets, especially in China, in order to meet with the growing demand of luxury goods in such markets.
